About Course
The Research Methods & Project Skills module equips MPharm students with the knowledge and skills to design, conduct, and analyse research projects, focusing on both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. This module aims to develop critical skills necessary for research planning, data collection, statistical analysis, and writing a research protocol, ultimately preparing students for evidence-based practice and the development of independent research projects in their final year or future career.
Students will learn the fundamentals of study design, including experimental, observational, and longitudinal studies. The module will also cover essential data analysis techniques, ethical considerations in research, and the structure and writing of a research protocol. Additionally, students will develop an understanding of how to present research findings in both academic and professional contexts.
